Live Spanish Moss
Our Live Spanish Moss comes clean and fresh from our oak tree to you! Harvested from our farm, many huge oak trees in SouthWest Florida, this Fresh Spanish Moss is absolutely stunning with a greenish, light gray appearance. It is soft and fluffy. We hand clean our Spanish Moss from twigs, branches, then spray it with an organic neem oil spray. We then package it in boxes with slits so it can breathe as it is a live plant. We mist our Spanish Moss just before we ship to ensure you will receive the most Freshnest Spanish Moss.
Perfect for potted plants and interior foliage as a decorative covering. Great for floral arrangements, craft projects and silk trees, can also be separated into strands for special effects, especially with colored lighting. Other uses wide range from display packaging, nurseries, taxidermist, and of course for your Halloween projects.
Spanish moss may be propagated by seed or by division. The plants are very simple to grow, as they require no soil or transplanting, requiring only warmth and humidity. They are grown in greenhouses or outside in warm climates. The plants will need temperature of 71 degrees or warmer in the summer season and not a lot less than 59 degrees in the wintertime. The plants grow nicely in full sunlight to partial shade. A weekly misting is sufficient to meet the nutritional needs with an occasional addition of diluted fish emulsion. Live Spanish moss rarely blooms in cultivation.
